Q: I know what items I want. What do I do next?

A: Fill out the ‘Check Availability’ form here and let us know which items you want, when you want them, and any questions you have. We will let you know if we have availability for your dates. We provide a 7-day courtesy hold on your request from the date of our return email. If you need more time to consider your booking, we totally understand – please reply by email or complete the online form again at a later date to check availability.

Q: How long in advance should I reserve items for rental?

A: It’s best to reserve your rental items as soon as you decide to book with Off The Block. This ensures they are available for your date. Quantities of some items are limited and are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Q: Do I have to sign a contract or pay a deposit?

A: If you wish to book with us we will forward a contract for e-signature and an invoice to complete your reservation. A 50% non-refundable deposit reserves the items and is applied to the total rental cost, with the remaining due 2 weeks prior to your event. If you prefer to pay the full amount upfront, please let us know. If booking is less than 30 days in advance, full payment is due upfront. 

Q: What happens if I need to change dates or cancel my reservation? Is there a refund?

A: We understand things happen. You can change the date of your event as long as there is availability on the new date. Your deposit will transfer as well. If you need to cancel, you will forfeit the 50% non-refundable deposit. You will be responsible for the full contracted amount if cancelation is within 2 weeks of your event. In the case of conditions beyond all of our control, such as a pandemic, wildfires, earthquakes, or other major events, full deposits will be refunded.

Q: What if an item gets damaged?

A: We expect normal wear and tear. This may include small scratches and dings on games resulting from regular play. This does not include water damage, misuse, or other unexpected damages to games, accessories, and decor items. Damaged or missing items will incur full replacement costs. 

Q: I had an awesome experience with OTB! How do I let others know?
